Applications to the program are reviewed by the GBS Admissions Committee. Acceptance into the BSB theme will be based on undergraduate performance (both the curriculum and grade point average), letters of recommendation, GRE scores, a personal statement of research interests, performance in other graduate programs or research activities. For full acceptance into the program, a bachelor's degree including undergraduate coursework in calculus, general and organic chemistry, and at least one introductory course in zoology or biology should be completed by the time of entrance. Courses in genetics, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, neurobiology, and physical chemistry are also to the benefit of the candidate.
Applications are reviewed beginning October 15th of each year with offers being made from November 1 until April 15th each year. Early applications are encouraged and an accelerated review and decision process is provided for early applicants. In some circumstances applications received after April 15th will still be reviewed and offers for admission made if space is available (please inquire).
Please note that the deadline for foreign applicants is January 15 and this deadline is strictly enforced.
