  • Education and Social Work Services in a Developing Country: Course (interdisciplinary) - Spring 2012. Serves students from various disciplines across campus ranging from Social work, Education, Criminal Justice and International Studies.
  • University of Alabama at Birmingham-Kenya Coalition: Home based care initiative in Kenya for PLWHA in partnership with Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
  • Gender-based violence in HIV/AIDS disclosure research.
  • Collaboration through Veteran Affairs: Bringing Veterans and Students together Project. QEP grant.
  • Council on Social Work Education Grant – Gero-Ed Center: Interdisciplinary Training Program.
  • Training of students in international public health in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Guatemala and Jamaica.
  •  HIV/AIDS and maternal and child health research in Ghana.
  • CFAR sponsored cervical cancer research in Tanzania.
  • Board Member (Global Health Initiatives) Greater Birmingham Chapter of the United Nations Association.
  • Board Member – Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization.
