The Center for Health Informatics for Patient Safety/Quality (CHIPS/Q) was created by the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011 to develop and market salient HIT workforce training and education programs for health care delivery systems.

The Center for Health Services Continuing Education

The UAB Center for Health Services Continuing Education has more than 25 years of experience in delivering crucial ideas in an ideal learning environment through its annual National Symposium for Healthcare Executives and other programs.

The Center sponsors the National Symposium for Healthcare Executives that has more than 30 years helping healthcare leaders stay current and connected. More recently, the Center has developed and delivered customized continuing education offerings to a variety of organizations on a contract basis. These current efforts build upon a rich tradition of providing management training to health systems in the US and internationally.
