Meet Dale
Dale Callahan is an entrepreneur who has started many successful companies. Dale has recently written a book, Resumes are Worthless. Dale sits on the advisory boards for TechBirmingham and the Alabama Information Technology Association. Dale was recognized in 2011 as one of UAB's 40 School of Engineering graduates making a difference.

Meet Don
Don Appleby has over three decades of experience in the information technology industry. He is retired from IBM, where he served in a wide variety of roles including systems engineer, marketing representative, software defect support, technical support services, ISO 9000 internal assessor, and quality assurance specialist. He has authored papers on system design reviews, spoken at conferences on the subject of solution assurance methodologies, and helped design a measurement and reporting process used to analyze solution assurance trends in North, Central, and South America. He also had responsibility for solution assurance reviews for newly announced storage products within the U.S.
Mr. Appleby holds a BSIM degree (with highest honor) from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MSEE from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has completed additional graduate courses in quantitative methods, modeling and simulation, and artificial intelligence, has extensive industry training in a variety of programming languages, operating systems, databases, transaction processing systems, and networking, as well as business process design.

| Brian M. Rabon, CSM, CSP, MSEE, PMP is the President of The Braintrust Consulting Group, a provider of project management solutions for a wide range of software related projects. Brian holds a BS in Computer Science from Auburn University and a MSEE from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is an avid author, blogger (http://blog.yourpmpartner.com), and speaker at conferences, professional organizations, and user groups. Brian loves teaching and is a contract instructor for New Horizons Birmingham and Solutions Cube Group, and a course designer for Samford University. Brian gives back to the community by serving on the Board of Directors for TechBirmingham, as VP of Programs for PMI Birmingham, and as the founder of Agile Birmingham. |

Meet Rusty: Rusty has both undergraduate and graduate degrees in electrical engineering from UAB and a licensed PE. Currently he is chief engineer with Hyde Engineering, a national electrical engineering firm specializing in electrical system designs for healthcare, institutional, governmental, and military clients. Rusty was also a United States Air Force (USAF) rated navigator and electronic warfare officer, serving with distinction as a crew member of B-52G heavy bombers and AC-130A gunships. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in project management, leadership and engineering to IEM.

Meet Maria
Maria has been employed at UAB since 1993. She serves on the Business Technologies Advisory Board for Lawson State Community College and the AOM/ACS/HRM/IT Advisory Board at Virginia College. Maria is very involved with the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and has served as the President of both the Birmingham Chapter and Alabama Division. She has received numerous awards for her work in IAAP including Member of Excellence. She regularly teaches classes for UAB employees through their Human Resource Management – Organizational Development Department.

Meet Jennifer
Jennifer Skjellum is President and owner of Runtime Computing Solutions, LLC. RunTime Computing Solutions provides software and solutions for the high performance and embedded computing space. Her previous company, MPI Software Technology, was a profitable software and services company and was acquired in 2003. Jennifer has extensive experience teaching courses in communication theory, public speaking, and business communication. Jennifer is also active in her community. She is a volunteer for Junior Achievement. In 2008 Jennifer was the Chairperson of TechBirmingham and continues to serve on its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. The BBJ awarded Skjellum the Top 40 under 40 in February, 2009.

Meet Denise
Denise Jeffries is Senior Vice President and Director of Enterprise Data Warehousing for BBVA Compass and has the accountability for the design, development, transformation, consistency of data, and support of BBVA Compass’ data warehouses and data marts and the Business Intelligence reporting on them. This includes the development of metadata, data transformation into the warehouse and Informational data marts, providing guidance and support for analysis/reporting for all Lines of Business (LOB). The Director and her team work to identify and maximize opportunities for using data warehouse systems to improve the development and delivery of business information. A primary responsibility is to promote the strategic use of information, and provide the standardized methods and tools to enable effective use the information. Denise provides leadership, vision, and direction for data warehouse/data mart systems and for the support and use of Business Intelligence applications.
Denise is a proponent for data warehousing and business intelligence technologies; she is a contributing member of TechBirmingham and is actively involved in the University of Alabama, Birmingham (UAB) IEEE Alumni group and the UAB Information Engineering School. She holds a Masters in Information Engineering from UAB, Masters certifications from The Data Warehousing Institute, The Data Management Assn and the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals as well as a Six Sigma Green Belt from the University of Michigan Management School and is CMMI v1.1 certified through Carnegie Mellon University.
