Applications where inter-realm authentication is of interest:

      * Environmental Health Course taught between UAB and Auburn

            -subtask: develop common course description attribute(s) for eduperson

      * Network Access when roaming (UAH and UAB especially interested)

      * Supercomputer accounts and access

      * Library (proxy services to resell journal subs)

      * PKI

 

Status of directories:

      * Auburn - selecting which LDAP service

 

UA people (Debra) requested copy of our software download/LDAP interface code

 

Discussion should be continued through:

      * GCG

      * possible special GCG-Middleware interest discussion list?

      * a survey of campuses is needed

            - status of centralizing authoritative people information

            - do you have LDAP directory?

            - would it be useful to have LDAP service provided for selected users by UAB for pilot purposes?

      * Sites visits by UAB to other campuses for further discussion
