Configuring the Outlook 2000 Email Client using MAPI (1st time setup)
Before configuring your Outlook Client, you will need do the following:- Configure TCP/IP settings
- Configure WINS settings
Configuration
- Right-click the Outlook Desktop icon and select Properties (screenshot)
- Under the General mail tab, click Add (screenshot)
- In the Microsoft Outlook Setup Wizard, check Microsoft Exchange Server then click Next (screenshot)
- Choose a Profile Name (screenshot)
- In the Exchange Server Settings window enter (screenshot)
- Microsoft Exchange Server: uabmsx0.ad.uab.edu
- User Name: "Your BlazerID"
- Choose Travel Preference then click Next (screenshot)
- Choose a Profile, click Apply, then Close (screenshot)
- In the Enter Password window, enter your Username and Password, then click OK (screenshot)
