Using Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008 Email with UAB Exchange

1. Start Entourage
2. Pull down the Tools menu and select Accounts
3. Pull down the New menu and select Mail
4. Enter Your BlazerID + @uab.edu in the E-mail Address.
5. Select the "My account is on an Exchange server" checkbox.
6. Enter your BlazerID in the UserID field. Type "uab" (without quotes) in the Domain field. In the Password field, enter the password that corresponds to your BlazerID.
7. Click "Configure account manually".
8. Click the Account Settings tab and confirm the following:
   • Account Name: UAB Exchange
   • Name: Your name
   • E-mail address: Your BlazerID + @uab.edu
   • Account ID: Your BlazerID
   • Domain: uab
   • Password: Your BlazerID's corresponding password
     1. Select "Save password in my Mac OS keychain"
   • Exchange Server: mail.ad.uab.edu
     1. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
     2. UNselect "Override DAV port"
9. Under the Options tab, nothing should be selected.
10. Under the Advanced tab, confirm the following:
    • Public folders server: mail.ad.uab.edu/public
      1. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
      2. UNselect "Override default port"
    • LDAP Server: ldap.ad.uab.edu
      1. Select "This server requires me to log in"
      2. Select "This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)"
      3. UNselect "Override default LDAP port"
    • Maximum number of results to return: 1000
    • Search base: (Should be blank)
11. Under the Delegate tab, do not change anything for initial use.
12. Under the Security tab, do not change anything for initial use.
