Working with Exchange Delegates in EntourageGranting access to some of your Exchange information is similar to granting access by sharing folders with two main differences:
To set a delegate, go to Tools >> Accounts and select the Exchange account, then click on Edit . Select the Delegates Tab. You can then add individuals to whom you wish to grant delegate access to your information. For each of the main folders (Calendar, Inbox, Contacts) you can assign the level of permission you wish to give this person over this folder. Permissions for each folder can be:
You also can indicate whether the person should receive copies of invitations and other meeting-related messages. Another check-box is to allow the system to send a message to the person who you are making your delegate telling them of the permissions you are granting them.
Now for other people to see these folders, have them go to Tools > Accounts. Select the Exchange account and click 'Edit'; then click on the Delegates tab. Now you can Add the accounts whose mailboxes you wish to open in Entourage; click on Add and specify the account name of the person who has shared their folders with you. (The bottom section is used to specify those accounts you are a delegate for. The top section is used by you to allow others to be delegates for you.)
Displaying an Exchange Account for Which You Are a DelegateIf someone has assigned you as their delegate, you can send or receive e-mail or meeting requests on their behalf. You must acknowledge the assignment to display their UAB Exchange e-mail and calendar:
Once you have finished the steps above, the calendar and e-mail of the person for whom you are a delegate will display on your computer.
