How to Empty the Trash in Pegasus 4.1

Printer-friendly version

You might not know it, but if you've deleted a mail message in Pegasus, it's not necessarily gone from your system! Indeed, the message is still taking up space in your "Deleted Items" folder. Over time, your "Deleted Items" folder can become very large, unless you take out the trash regularly. Here's how to take out the trash in Pegasus.

Double-click on any thumbnail to see the full-size image.

Manually Empty Trash using the Toolbar:

1. Open Pegasus. In the pane on the left hand side, double click the My Mailbox to expand it and view the Deleted Messages Folder. If there are no deleted messages, this folder cannot be seen.

2. Click on the Deleted Messages Folder to view messages. Click the title of the message to select it.

3. Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the message.

Note: Make sure you are clicking on the ‘Delete: Message to Trash can’ icon directly about the selected message, not the ‘Delete: Folder to Trash can’ icon above My Mailbox (doing so will delete the entire folder).

4. Click Yes when the ‘Are you sure you want to delete the marked message’ dialogue box appears.
