UAB Campus Email offers generous storage capacity on a stable, secure, and reliable system accessible via POP3, IMAP, HTTP, Outlook, and Outlook Web Access (OWA) clients.

From a department perspective, this system is available for staff members without any personnel, maintenance, equipment, or software overhead.

From the perspective of the individual user, the system offers large storage capacity, very high uptime, and is accessible onsite or offsite from practically any email client preferred.

All servers are in a clustered environment, further insuring near 100% availability.

Data is stored on a fiber-attached storage area network and backed up to tape daily for offsite storage.

If restoration of a mailbox is needed, within 24 hours of the request, Faculty or Staff mailboxes can be restored to a known state from a "quick restore" backup made within the last 14 days, and can be restored to any given day in the past six months within 1 week of request.

Student mailbox backups are not available for restoration.
