How do I burn a CD with Windows XP?Burning a CD in Windows XP is a fairly straight-forward affair. When you insert a blank, recordable CD into your CD-R drive, Windows will open a dialog box asking if you want to open a writable CD folder. Alternately, you can use Windows Explorer to access this folder, or right click on the files that you want to write to disc and choose "SEND TO... CD DRIVE (D)" (your drive letter may vary) from the context menu. After dragging and dropping all the files you wish to burn into the CD window, click on Write These Files to CD in the task bar to the left, and a wizard will open that will walk you through the rest of the process. For more detail on using Microsoft Windows XP and its built-in capabilities to burn a compact disc (either data or music), please refer to the instructions provided by Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/expert/bridgman_august13.mspx. |
