Thanks to all members email votes and endorsement; we were able to process the contracts for the SCT Operational Data Store and XTender products prior to the end of year deadlines. The project team was very enthusiastic at hearing this news.
Portal
- The Portal or Intranet will be a secure, online gateway for dynamic communication, learning, networking and university business. Additional information about the Portal and the project can be found at UAB_Portal_2005_12_15.ppt.
- The project’s steering committee has proposed “BlazerNet” as the official portal name.
- At the end of the month, our functional consultant will be on campus for three days to conduct focus groups with the various constituent groups. The agenda and areas of focus can be found at portal_focus_group_agenda.doc.

Project Incentive Plan

Last month, we introduced a proposed incentive plan for the full time project team. Incentive plans can be an effective means of rewarding and retaining team members throughout the duration of these intense projects. An incentive plan was used for the STEPS project.
