Larry McMillan

Laurence McMillan (Larry) graduated from Sam Houston State University, where he earned a BS in Biology.  After receiving his MD from Meharry Medical College, Larry started a Family Medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio).  His growing interest in mental illness led him to change his field of study at the end of his intern year.  Currently he is applying for a Psychiatry residency position, preferably at a program which provides research training opportunities.

As a member of the JMW Lab, Larry assists Dr. Janusz Tucholski investigating the involvement of protein glycosylation in intracellular trafficking and plasma membrane expression of NMDA receptors in patients with schizophrenia.
