Quintessential 90’s buzz band Marcy Playground takes the stage at Workplay on Nov. 5.
You know you’ve heard of them - they did the song called “Sex & Candy” that was all over the radio back in the day, and it was even featured on the first “Now That’s What I Call Music” compilation disc.
They’ll be promoting their new album, but if you play your cards right, you might be able to get them to play the aforementioned smash hit, so you can sing along to the “I smell sex and can-dayyy” refrain.
Tickets are $15 in advance, or $18 the day of the show.

If you love Cracker Barrel’s down-home country fare, but don’t particularly like waiting twenty minutes for your dish to arrive, check out the Paw Paw Patch on Greensprings.
The restaurant features a wide variety of comfort foods, like fried chicken and steak-and-gravy, but with quick cafeteria-style service. The menu varies day-by-day, but there’s one thing that is constant - it’s all delicious.
And if you’re super pressed for time, they have a drive-thru also.
They’re open Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It’s the documentary everyone’s been waiting for: Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.”
The film gives viewers an in-depth look at what would have been Jackson’s next concert.
Rated PG for suggestive choreography and a few scary images, it’s a film that lots of people can, and do, enjoy.
The film is showing at the Rave in Patton Creek, Summit 16 in Mountain Brook, as well as several other theaters in the area.
If you’re a die-hard fan, or even if you are just a casual listener, be sure to check this out. It will only be in theaters for a very limited time, so see it soon!
