The UAB Black Student Awareness Committee will be hosting its annual Back to School BBQ on Friday, Aug. 22, from noon to 5 p.m. in the Mini Park. It’s all free so make plans to come out, enjoy some good food and meet your neighbors.
Don’t Hate Hotline UAB’s Don’t Hate Hotline, 1-877-ERACISM, is an outlet for students in the classroom, housing and on campus to voice concerns about discrimination, diversity and campus issues and personal rights violations.

The Public Health Student Association’s community organization for the year is Birmingham Aids Outreach, who is sponsoring a Magic City Aids Walk on Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. Table sits will be conducted in the HUC, Rec Center, and Commons Sept. 2-4 in order to get more students involved.
