Mission Statement:
The mission of Leadership UAB is to enhance the understanding of its members regarding the vision, mission, and ongoing endeavors of The University of Alabama at Birmingham so as to foster loyalty and support of UAB and develop dedicated ambassadors and volunteers who shall serve the University in various capacities.



Membership:
The membership of Leadership UAB shall reflect the University’s commitment to diversity and so include a broad range of individuals from various corporate, civic, and volunteer backgrounds. The annual membership class will consist of approximately 30 members between the ages of 25 and 35 who represent a cross-section of Birmingham’s vibrant young professional community.



Meetings:
Members of Leadership UAB are encouraged to make the most of their time in the program and increase the value of their involvement by attending all events and scheduled activities At the conclusion of their year of participation in Leadership UAB, members are strongly encouraged to further their association with UAB by serving on one of the University’s many active advisory boards or councils or in any other such service and/or leadership capacity of the University as it appeals to each member’s particular interests and talents.
