This is a general map of the second floor.

The Library has a number of open study carrels on the ground, 1st, and 2nd floors. If you need a quiet place to study, it is a good idea to get away from the heavy traffic areas; try the carrels on the 2nd floor or ask a staff member for suggestions. |

Horizon is Lister Hill Library's catalog. Use Horizon to see if LHL has a particular book or journal. You can search by keyword, author, title, subject, and even publisher, ISBN and several other options. In addition to indicating if we have a particular book or journal, Horizon will also indicate if it is checked out or not. |

The NLM collection is our main collection of books that can be checked out; they are located on the second floor. Books circulate for 28 days with one renewal possible if the book has not been requested by someone else. More information on the library's circulation policies is also available online. If you would just like a general area for browsing, or more information on how the collection is arranged, link to the library's online handout on NLM Call Numbers.
In addition to NLM Collection, there are a few smaller, specialized collections which you might see listed in Horizon: Alabama, Fletcher, Oversize, Theses, etc. For more information on them, check this list of our other collections. Also, videotapes are located on second floor on a range of shelves labeled "Media."
To make a purchase recommendation for a book, media item, or journal, you can fill out a Web form or a physical form within the library. |
