LHL SPOTLIGHT

    Karen Wood is a valuable employee who is invisible to most of our library users. Karen began working at LHL as Senior Secretary over ten years ago. Since then her responsibilities have significantly increased, and in 1999, she was promoted to Financial Associate. Karen contributes to the Library's financial and general planning as a member of the Library's Core Group of senior staff, the Library Operations Committee, the Staff Position Assessment Team, and all search committees as Affirmative Action Officer.
     The entire staff looks to Karen for answers to a wide variety of questions concerning personnel situations, financial matters, and anything else that involves making arrangements with the appropriate people (movers, electricians, etc.)  Her assistance is crucial to the implementation of almost any project in the Library.  She is always eager to expand her skills, knowledge, and responsibilities and performs her assignments in a calm, competent, highly professional manner.
     The LHL staff could not accomplish nearly as much as we do without Karen's superb support!
