July/August 2000LHL SPOTLIGHTTony Rose has been part of the Collection Management Unit since 1993. He was hired as a Library Assistant I and was promoted to Library Assistant II in 1998. He assists with processing the current monograph acquisitions but he also has worked with serials processing. He is responsible for the daily mail pickup and delivery within the library. Tony also assists others in the unit with processing serials and bindery shipments. He is always seeking to enhance his skills and has completed the CQI Training Program through the UAB Office of Development & Training. Tony has also received several LHL Staff Recognition Certificates for his valuable contributions to the library. He currently serves as the Collection Management Unit's representative on the Library Operations Committee. Tony continues to increase the number of tasks he is responsible for and is eager to learn all he can about the acquisition of library materials. |
