May/June 2001VIRTUAL DESKTOPAs many of you have already discovered, LHL's electronic journals are now available through the Virtual Desktop. Licensing restrictions and technical issues kept this resource limited to on-campus use only, but now many of them are available from anywhere anytime--as long as you are an authorized user. To access the journals, log in to LHL's Virtual Desktop from the library's home page at http://www.uab.edu/lister using your UAB ID number. When you choose a specific journal from the list, you will be asked again for the ID to verify your access. Any problems with access or specific titles, should be reported to the Information Desk by phone (934-2231) or by e-mail. |
