Lister Hill Library of the Health Sciences Fall 2000 Survey

In Fall of 2000 a project to survey all health-related faculty and a random sample of graduate/professional and undergraduate students was conducted to determine their use and satisfaction with the library's collections, services, equipment and facilities.  BJ Schorre, Associate Director for Planning & Assessment developed and coordinated the survey process.  2,221 surveys were mailed or hand-delivered to mailboxes with a final result of 492 surveys received giving a return rate of 22%.
 
BJ Schorre, who also compiled this report, analyzed the responses.  The summary available online reviews the findings developed from the tabulated survey.  The undergraduate responses were excluded from this report because of the low response rate (11 surveys received, 7% return rate).
     Comments made on the survey are not included in the web version of this report, which can be found at:  http://www.uab.edu/lister/survey2000.htm.   The library staff would like to thank all of the people who took the time to respond to this survey.  The results will help us in planning future priorities for the library.
