"Do You Have This Journal in the Library?"

When you are looking for articles on your topic in OVID, you may have noticed the message under the "Local Messages" heading. There are several different messages and here's what they mean.

"LHL owns this title."
This means our library has at least some of the issues of that journal title. It does not mean we necessarily have that particular issue. For example, if you see this message on a 1991 reference, it is possible that we would not have that article. We could have begun our subscription in 1995 or cancelled it in 1990.

"LHL and UHosp own this title."
This message is the same as the previous message except it also includes the extension library in the West Pavilion.

"UHosp owns this title."
There are a few titles that are available in the extension library and not carried by LHL. This message appears on those titles.

"LHL does NOT own this title."
This message means we don't have any issues of this journal title. However, keep in mind that Sterne may carry the journal. Or it could be requested through InterLibrary Loan.
