January/February 1998Harkins Appointed to IAIMSScott Plutchak, Director Lister Hill Library, has appointed Faye Harkins, formerly Curatorial Assistant in the Reynolds Historical Library, as the IAIMS Administrative Assistant. Ms. Harkins brings extensive library and administrative experience, along with a good understanding of the UAB environment and good technical support skills (she designed and maintained the Reynolds website). Her duties include facilitating the IAIMS Workgroup Committees; taking minutes, scheduling meetings, and working with the Informatics Group on the Spring Informatics Lecture Series. Her other priorities will include working on the IAIMS website, and starting to work on an IAIMS newsletter and other Public Relations activities. |
