March/April 1998Information & Technology Day 1998UAB's third annual Information & Technology Day was held February 26 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Hill University Center Great Hill. This year's event was sponsored by the Office of Academic Programs and Information Technology as a promotion of automation and connectivity to the UAB community. IT Day was conceptualized three years ago by Lister Hill Library's Systems Administrator, Tim Brown. Tim has been the events coordinator each year. With an attendance of over 400 and over 30 vendor booths Tim declared the event a great success and plans for a bigger IT Day next year. |
