March/April 1998New Web Access to Library CatalogHorizon, the library's online catalog, is now available through the World Wide Web. With the acquisition of WebPAC, software from the maker of Horizon, users can check library holdings from any computer that is attached to the Internet. The interface is still being modified, but users are able to search for books and journals in the library's collection by author, title, subject and keyword. To use the new interface, point your web browser to http://medicus.lhl.uab.edu and choose Horizon. As we are still making changes to the system, please let us know what you think of the new interface. Use the options on the page to send e-mail to Computer Services for problems or Information Services for questions or comments. |
