March/April 1999Frequently Asked Questions @ Lister Hill LibraryQ: Where do I look for journal articles on a topic? A: The Web is not the best source for providing this type of information. Lister Hill recommends that the patron use MEDLINE via either OVID, PubMed or Internet Grateful Med to search for articles about specific medical conditions. For nursing or allied health articles, use CINAHL. And for articles concerning consumer health, try MDX or Searchbank. These databases (and others) may be accessed on the UAB campus throgh Lister Hill's Home page at http://www.uab.edu/lister. |
