May/June 1999Group Study Room Reservation Policy Revised - June 1, 1999Our Group Study Rooms have been very popular since we moved into our new building, and we have observed their use. We have seen many individual students using the rooms and spreading out materials to "hold" the room even when they leave. Now we'd like to make it easier for groups to obtain a room because that is the original purpose. Look at our revised policy in this issue. Especially notice that now reservations may be made immediately and that individuals are subject to being "bumped" when a group needs a room. Also, notice that rooms abandoned for 15 minutes are also considered available for group reservations. If you make a reservation for your group, you have 15 minutes to assemble at least two of the group. We are sorry that we don't have study rooms for individuals, but we do have many quiet areas within the library with large carrels and tables. We will appreciate your cooperation with the revised policy. GROUP STUDY ROOM RESERVATION POLICY
