Try MD Consult Today!

http://www.uab.edu/lister/mdconsult.htm

Lister Hill Library is conducting a trial demo of MD Consult.  From now through mid-July MD Consult will be available to the UAB Community for evaluation purposes.  Users must complete a one-time registration, which will allow them to customize their news and information sources.

MD Consult is one of the most comprehensive online clinical information resource available. An integrated collection of the most trusted medical books, journals, drug information, and many other resources makes it easy for students, physicians and clinical staff to quickly find answers and stay up-to-date in medicine.

MD Consult is always updating the following:

  • medical news information - hourly
  • thousands of MEDLINE citations and abstracts as well as summaries of the weekly journals and stories from popular media outlets - weekly
  • AIDSLINE, HealthSTAR, and CANCERLIT databases -monthly

MD Consult was developed through a unique joint venture of leading medical publishers: W.B. Saunders, Mosby, and Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. In all, over 50 additional publishers and organizations contribute content, making MD Consult the single richest source of clinical knowledge online.

Since its launch in October of 1997, MD Consult has been in use throughout the US and in over 60 countries. Hospitals, medical schools, practice management organizations, and individual practitioners all use MD Consult as a fundamental resource for clinical practice.

The simple, Web browser interface provides a unified way of accessing many kinds of resources. MD Consult provides free 800 number customer service for end-users.
