Who can reserve?
- Groups of two or more with valid UAB ID for rooms 132, 134, 145, 147, 149, 115A, and Lyons Room
- Non-UAB groups of two or more can reserve rooms 128 and 131
What is available?
- Nine group study rooms that seat 6 people
- Each room has a networked computer
- Check out markers for whiteboards at the HUB
How long?
- First-come, first-serve basis
- Rooms may be scheduled for the current day and the next day only
- Reservations are limited to three hours per day
- Reservations held 15 minutes for a group to assemble
- Any room that is vacant or occupied by a single person is available for immediate group reservation
- Leaving items in a room does not “reserve” that room
Restrictions:
- Reservations take priority over walk-in users
- Personal software may not be installed
- Rooms are not intended for continuing activities such as classes or standing meetings
- Library not responsible for items left in rooms
Procedures:
- Reservations are taken in person or by phone
- Provide the following information:
- Name & phone number
- Number of people in the group
- Date and time period (i.e., 2-5 pm)
