Reference ServicesOn November 1, 2006, The Kirklin Clinic Patient Resource Library opened to help answer your specific medical questions. The library is staffed by a medical librarian at all times who is ready to assist in computer searches or guide you in book selections.
The library offers over 400 books, videos, and DVDs for check-out over a 2-week period, with renewal by telephone for an additional 2 weeks or you can take a mailing envelope to mail an item back to the library.
There are also books and magazines which are in a reference collection for use in the library only, but there is access to free xeroxing for articles of interest.
In addition, the library houses over 200 free brochures from the national organizations such as the American Cancer Society, National Cancer Institute, Leukemia-Lymphoma Society, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Arthritis Foundation, and many more.
