NRMN Health Talks Launch with Dr. Mona Fouad Discussing Social Determinants of Health

Mona N. Fouad, MD, MPH discusses social determinants of health with NRMN Research Talks host Ann Smith MPH, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN), in partnership with University of Alabama at Birmingham Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center (UAB MHRC), announces the launch of a video training series on health disparities research entitled NRMN Health Research Talks.

The NRMN is a national consortium of biomedical professionals and institutions working to provide evidence-based mentorship and professional development programming to junior faculty in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical and social sciences.

The video training series, led by faculty from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Tuskegee University, addresses various health and health disparities research topics in a lively interview format. The videos provide information for junior faculty planning research careers as independent investigators in fields related to community-based health and health disparities. They are helpful for anyone interested in learning about how complex factors of a given social environment can impact the health of individuals and communities.

You may access the videos below as they are published, as well as on a dedicated playlist within the NRMN YouTube Channel.
