Scott Phillips, B.A. - Brigham Young University; M.A. - University of Central Florida; and Ph.D. - University of Iowa, is Assistant Professor of Music Technology at UAB. He teaches courses in computer music, directs the computer music ensemble, and supervises the music technology internship program. His research interests include technology use in music teaching and music technology curriculum development at the university level. Phillips was a member of the program selection committee for 2010 CMS/ATMI National Conference and sits on the National Board of the Technology Institute for Music Educators as the Marketing and Communications Chair. Phillips is an Oxford University Press Author and has made presentations at numerous state, regional, and national conferences. He has also provided professional music technology and recording studio training to hundreds of musicians across the United States for top computer hardware and software companies.
