Biography:
Mary Beth graduated with her MSN in Maternal Infant Nursing from UAB in 1985 and
completed the NNP track in 1987. She has almost 30 years of clinical experience
in the NICU including bedside nurse, charge nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist,
and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Mary Beth has worked primarily in Tuscaloosa,
AL for the DCH Health Care System but has also worked in the Birmingham area at
Cooper Green Hospital as a NNP and for UAB Critical Care Transport doing ground
and air transport. In addition, to her Faculty position with the NNP Program
here at UAB, Mary Beth continues to work per diem as a NNP in Tuscaloosa. She is
currently a graduate student in UAB's DNP program with an expected graduation
date of Fall 2009.
