Biography
Dr. Moneyham received a BSN degree from Berea College, an MSN degree in
psychiatric/community mental health nursing from the University of Kentucky, and
a DNS degree in nursing synthesis from Indiana University. Dr. Moneyham has an
established program of funded research that spans 15 years and is focused on
developing and testing of interventions supportive of women with HIV disease.

Women's health; gender and empowerment; stress, coping and adaptation;
depressive symptoms and quality of life in the context of chronic illness;
self-care and disease management; HIV-related stigma and disclosure; cognitive
appraisal and the meaning of illness; peer-based social support interventions
