Applause for the Cause: Educate a Nurse 2012

Thank you for playing a role with the UAB School of Nursing in providing scholarships for accomplished students so they can eliminate financial burdens and prepare to serve as the next generation of nurse leaders. This year, the UAB School of Nursing Board of Visitors event raised over $125,000 that will be used to fund nursing scholarships and increase awareness about the importance of educating nurses.

The second annual Applause for the Cause: Educate a Nurse 2012 event, presented by UAB Medicine, premiered Thursday, April 26 at The Alys Stephens Center. Proceeds from this year’s event will not only help educate deserving nursing students and assist us in recruiting the best and brightest prospective students, but supporters were also invited to honor special nurses who have made a difference in their lives.
