UAB School of Nursing celebrates inductees at AAN Alumni and Friends Reception

inducteesOne faculty member and three alumni from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing were inducted as Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) during the Academy's 2014 Transforming Health, Driving Policy Conference on October 18, 2014, in Washington, D.C.

Friends and family from the UAB School of Nursing celebrated the four inductees Marsha Howell Adams, PhD, RN, DNE, ANEF, Cindy Selleck, PhD, RN, Marietta Stanton, PhD, RN and Diane M. Von Ah, PhD, RN at an Alumni and Friends Reception preceding the induction on October 17, 2014.

The Academy comprises more than 2,200 nurse leaders in education, management, practice, policy and research. Academy Fellows include hospital and government administrators, college deans, and renowned scientific researchers. The Academy Fellows, with the addition of this newest class, represent all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 24 countries.
