Alumna Carol Ratcliffe named NBNA 2015 Nurse Educator of the Year

ratcliffe carolUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing alumna Carol Ratcliffe, DNP, RN, FACHE, has been named the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) 2015 Nurse Educator of the Year. She was presented with the honor at the President's Gala on August 2, 2015.

This annual award recognizes a nurse educator who demonstrates outstanding contributions to professional and patient education.

Ratcliffe earned her master’s in nursing from the UAB School of Nursing in 1995. She currently works as an Associate Professor at the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing at Samford University in Birmingham.
