Three DNP students earn scholarships

Three University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing Doctor of Nursing Practice Pathway students have earned scholarships from the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists (ALANA) to support their education.

Post-BSN to DNP Pathway for Nurse Anesthesia student Tayler Walker, BSN, RN, has received an ALANA scholarship through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Foundation. As one of only 58 awardees out of an applicant pool of more than 2,500 nurse anesthesia students, Walker will be honored alongside other recipients at the 2018 AANA Annual Congress September 21-25 in Boston.

Hunter Speeg, BSN, RN, and David Sanford, MSN, CRNA, both received scholarships directly from ALANA.
