The conference was held in Chicago, Illinois in March.

Jordan and Waddell were selected from a competitive pool of national experts on pediatric health care. They presented an educational session on pediatric sepsis, a life-threatening infection leading to multiple organ failure and one of the leading causes of death worldwide.

During their educational session, they provided guidance to clinicians on recognizing sepsis early and learn how to intervene quickly in order to reduce adverse outcomes. In addition to early recognition and treatment, Waddell and Jordan taught the latest evidence-based strategies to design and implement protocols that streamline the care of sepsis patients and expedite treatment.

More than 1,600 pediatric clinicians attended the NAPNAP Conference. With more than 9,000 members, NAPNAP is the professional association for pediatric nurse practitioners and all pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses.
