Preparing an application for NIH funding can seem overwhelming at times. The OSP is here to help you navigate the proposal process to ensure that the preparation and submission of your proposal(s) to NIH goes smoothly. Please be sure to contact your OSP Officer well in advance of your intent to submit an NIH application so that he or she can work closely with you to ensure compliance with NIH policies and guidelines as well as those of UAB. Good planning will minimize the possibility of any error correction activity endangering your ability to meet the NIH deadline. A strong, well written and prepared proposal submitted in a timely manner will improve your chances for securing NIH funding.
