Steam Plant Construction - 19th Street
Beginning February 13, 2012 thru approximately April 9, 2012, 19th Street South, between University Boulevard and 9th Avenue South, will be closed to all thru traffic and on-street parking. Local accessibility will be affected as follows:
19th STREET PARKING DECK: Entry will only be from 9th Avenue South. Exiting traffic is to be routed onto 9th Avenue South.
UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD PARKING DECK: Exiting traffic will be routed to University Boulevard.
BB&T BANKING: Access to the bank's drive-thru will be from 9th Avenue.

Steam Plant Construction - 15th Street Closure
Construction of the new UAB District Steam System Project will require closure of 15th Street, for 2 months beginning Monday, January 23, 2012. This street closure will impact thru traffic and on-street parking between University Boulevard and 7thAvenue South. Access to Parking Lot 5A will be via a newly provided entry point immediately off University onto 15th Street South. Steam Plant Construction - 7th Avenue Behind Hill University Center
Construction activity on the Steam project is scheduled to begin January 23, 2012 for 2 months, on 7thAvenue South behind the Hill University Center. 7th Avenue South will be reduced down to two (2) lanes (east & west) and on-street parking in that area between 14th and 15th Streets is to be eliminated during the construction activities.
