Timothy J. Ness MD PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department
of Anesthesiology. He is board-certified in Anesthesiology and in
Pain Management. He is one of the attending physicians at the Kirklin
Clinic Pain Treatment Center and on the in-patient Acute Pain Service
of the University Hospitals. His research interests are the basic
science mechanisms of visceral pain and the clinical treatment of
spinal cord injury-related pain. He received his training at the
University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and has been at UAB since
1995.
