Harold Kincaid, chair of the department, earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Indiana University. He has taught at UAB since 1983. He is Director of the Center for Ethics and Values in the Sciences.

Publications

Dr. Kincaid is the author of Philosophical Foundations of the Social Sciences (Cambridge University Press, 1996) and Individualism and the Unity of Science (Rowman and Littlefield, 1997).
