Current UAB employees should be paid through the UAB payroll system for all services, except those services entitled to independent contractor treatment regardless of the person's UAB employment status.

A supervisor or anyone in the UAB community who becomes aware of an HIV/AIDS-related situation involving an employee, student, or visitor shall follow the guidelines stated in this policy.

Membership in certain local civic organizations will be in the form of institutional memberships covering the entire university and all its departments, including the hospital, the schools, Central Administration, and the Auxiliary Services.

Employees (including faculty) may not engage in consensual romantic or sexual relationships when one party in the relationship supervises, evaluates, or grades the other party.
