POLICY STATEMENT
THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM
DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS


Subject: Sponsorship of Programs or Activities by Student Organizations


  1. Any recognized UAB student organization may sponsor programs and activities on the UAB campus.
  2. Co-sponsorship of programs and activities for non-UAB affiliated organizations is permitted.  Co-sponsorship must be clearly designated as such, and the student organization's name must appear on all publicity regarding the program or activity.
  3. Representatives of the sponsoring student organization must be present throughout the duration of the program or activity.
  4. Both the sponsoring organization and the sponsored group must adhere to all UAB rules and regulations.  The sponsoring student organization shall be held liable for the activities of the sponsored group.
  5. Failure to comply with the above regulations by the sponsoring student organization may result in revoking recognition status and/or in any other appropriate penalty.
