Clinical Psychology is a specialty area that seeks to understand and ameliorate psychological and behavioral disorders. Medical Psychology is a specialty area which addresses the relationship between behavior and health. The Medical/Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program trains students using the scientist-practitioner model to become leaders in disease and risk prevention, amelioration, and clinical health promotion. Our Program encourages the overall mission of UAB by continuously providing new directions in health and behavioral psychology.
