Technologies

Radiation Oncology is a technology-driven discipline. Sophisticated machines, computer hardware and software are utilized to capture images, develop treatment delivery plans, and finally deliver radioactive agents to the desired site. The accuracy sought for most targeted areas is nowadays defined in millimeters, whereas years ago the goal was centimeters. The field of radiation oncology is rapidly advancing, and research continues to develop new therapeutic agents and technologies to further advance cancer treatment.

In general terms, the technologies presented here are either machines used in image capture and radiation delivery, or computers used in treatment planning or care management. Please click on any of the links below for specific information about our technology.
