The High Resolution Imaging Facility  or “HRIF” provides a variety of microscopy services for UAB Scientists.

Services the facility offer include:
Assistance with protocol development and trouble shooting, Confocal laser scanning microscopy, SEM, conventional transmission electron microscopy, Ca2+ imaging, FRET, FRAP, and FLIM imaging, digital microscopy equipment configured with deconvolution software, and image processing programs. The facility is staffed by experienced technical specialists who are able to offer assistance at each stage of an imaging experiment.
