SHP is adding two floors with laboratories and state-of-the art amenities to accommodate a modern-day classroom. The Department of Health Services Administration will consolidate into the new space. An Executive Learning Center will serve as the centerpiece to seat about 100 students as well as separate break out rooms.

The skyline around the School of Health Professions Building (SHPB) is looking a little different lately. For weeks, construction crews from B.L. Harbert International of Birmingham have been prepping to begin the work to add two floors to SHPB. On Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, crews began assembling the huge crane to be used during construction of the additional floors.
