Document Deadline: All transcripts, letters of recommendation and test scores must be received by March 22nd

Application Fee

The application fee for domestic applicants and green card holders is $50 and application fee for international applicants is $60.

Instructions for completing the application

Prospective students may apply at any time during the year; however, students begin program courses in Fall Semester. Applications are submitted online through UAB Graduate School. All Admissions documents (Test Scores, Transcripts, Immigration documents, WES, etc.) must be sent to UAB Graduate School.

Official transcripts from each institution where college credit was received to be mailed to:

Application Requirements:

Applicants must meet all requirements of the UAB Graduate School and have taken the GRE, PCAT, MCAT, DAT, or OAT.

  • Applicants must have successfully completed prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of C, have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0, have a minimum cumulative science GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicants must submit a personal statement of interest to the program, and submit 3 letters of recommendation.
  • If accepted, applicants must complete the UAB medical history questionnaire, provide proof of all required immunizations, TB skin test, tetanus shot and receive satisfactory screening by the UAB Medical Center Student Health Service. Students are required to create a profile in Certified Background. Students will receive further instructions pertaining to Certified Background after admission into the program.
  • If accepted; start date: 1st day of the Summer 10-week Session (June 6, 2016)

International Requirements

  • Financial Affidavit of Support
  • Immigration documentation if currently residing in the US

Application Review Process

After application window has been opened, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. All qualified candidates with fully completed applications may be invited for interviews.
